Which version does MapleTime use?
MapleTime uses the GMS v83 protocol, patch 1, locale 8. The status check
validates that exact handshake, not just whether a port is open.
Can I download the client here?
No. MapleTime does not distribute proprietary client binaries, DLLs, binary WZ files, music, or artwork. You must provide a compatible client you are authorized to use.
How do I register?
Use the player portal to choose a username, set a password, and verify your email. A private worker creates the account without exposing the database. First-login registration is also available.
Is this a pay-to-win server?
No. Progression stays faithful to the original. Optional helpers never replace normal play.
Why can the website be online while the game is offline?
The website and the game run on separate infrastructure. The site stays up during game maintenance, so news and connection guidance remain available without exposing the game database.
Does the content editor read my account or character data?
No. The editor manages news and guides only. Registration passes an opaque reference to a private worker that performs the database operation. Rankings contain no account, email, IP, hardware, or credential data.
